Things You Might Like To Know About

Key Safe:

A key safe is located at the base of the driveway and is available for use for the security of your keys whilst at the beach or if surfing.  The code is changed regularly.  Please enquire at reception should you wish to use the key safe.

Car Parking:

Each unit has a designated single car space.  Any vehicle found in an unauthorised space may be towed away at the owner’s expense.

When you wish to drive out of the car park you do not need your key, simply drive up to the door (slowly), there is a sensor pad which is marked on the concrete and the door will slide back automatically.

A car wash bay is available for your use.  Parking in this bay will result in your vehicle being towed.

Surfboard & Boogie Board Storage:

Large bulky items and surfboards are not permitted into the apartments.  Use the storage cage in front of your car park space – your apartment key will gain access.

Long board storage is available upon request.

Courtesy Trolleys:

Bayview courtesy trolleys are available for your use to transport luggage, shopping and other large items to and from your unit only.  Please return your trolley immediately after use for the convenience of others.

 

Complimentary use of Equipment:

Feel free to use any of the items located downstairs in the storage cage near the sauna during your stay (tennis rackets, tennis balls, boogie boards, children’s sand buckets and spades, beach umbrellas, etc).

Available from reception upon request are binoculars.

Garbage and Recycling Items:

Garbage chutes are located on the “B” side of the foyers on each floor.  Please wrap all garbage securely before you place it down the chute otherwise the smell may come back to haunt you!!

Recycling bins are located in the basement and are labelled as the glass recycling is separated from general recycling.

Check-in / Check-out arrangements:

Arrival time, “check-in” is from 2.00pm Qld time.

Departure, “check-out” time is from 9.00am Qld time.

If these times are not convenient due to connections with transport, please check with reception and we will try to accommodate you.  Storage of luggage after check-out can be catered for.

If you are leaving before 9.00am, a key return is located at the front of the reception desk.

Booking Procedures for next time:

Prior to your departure, we suggest that you book your apartment for future holidays by completing the departure notification form which will be placed under your door prior to your departure.

For Hire:

Beach towels may be hired for the length of your stay for $5.00.

Dining & Take Away Menus:

A variety of information is available for eating establishments in the local and surrounding areas.  Browse the brochure display in the basement foyer.

Local Shops:

The local shops are just around the corner (Ward and Boundary Streets) within walking distance.  Alternatively, you might like to take an easy 8-10 minute stroll past Twin Towns to the Tweed Mall (Woolworths and Coles Supermarkets).  Located in Coolangatta is the Strand which has Woolworths and Aldi Supermarkets.

The Entry and Basement Doors:

The front entry door and the basement door are locked between the hours of 6pm – 6am.  Please ensure that you have your keys with you.

The front door to the building can be opened at night from your apartment by picking up the intercom handset, answering and then pressing the button.

Fire Doors:

Fire doors must only be used in the event of fire.  Remember, unsecured doors are a security risk to you and your property as well as others.

Lifts:

The lifts are there for the convenience of guests.  The phone in the lift is a direct line to the lift maintenance company.  Use of this phone should only be in an emergency.  Misuse will incur a substantial call out fee.

Fire Alarms:

Fire Department call outs are expensive, so care should be taken when cooking within an apartment.  We recommend having the kitchen window and balcony doors open.

Guests are also requested not to burn incense or other like substances.  Fire detectors and smoke alarms are not to be tampered with as they are hard wired to the fire panel.

In the event of a fire alarm during your stay please evacuate the building using the fire stairs. Do not use the lifts.  Fire evacuation procedures are shown on the back of the entry door to your apartment and within the foyer on each level.

Smoking:

Queensland Government regulations do not allow smoking in any of the common areas of the building eg stairwells, garage, pool or garden areas.

Smoking is NOT PERMITTED in your apartment. You may smoke on the apartment balconies when the sliding door to your apartment is closed otherwise a deodorising charge will apply.  All butts must be disposed of properly.
